Dave Mungenast Motorsports is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with the expertise to sell new and used motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and utility vehicles at our growing dealership. Dave Mungenast Motorsports is a full-service Power Sports dealership. We sell and service a full line of Honda’s, including street bikes, sport bikes, trail bikes, motocross bikes, Honda ATVs, Honda scooters and Honda utility vehicles.
Along with Indian motorcycles, GEM electric vehicles, Zero Electric Motorcycles, Polaris Slingshot, and Husqvarna street and dirt bikes.
Candidates applying for this position must be motivated, reliable and professional. To be the desired candidate for this position you must have a clean driving record with Motorcycle endorsement and be able to pass a drug test.
Duties include:- Selling products while maintaining customer satisfaction standards.
- Approaching, greeting, and offering assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
- Assisting customers in selecting products by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
- Explaining product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
- Offering test drives to all prospects as well as following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customers prior to test drive.
- Knowing and understanding the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail ATV and motorcycle sales.
- Establishing personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity as well as devising a strategy to meet those goals.
- Keeping abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
- Ensuring that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
- Writing complete sales orders and processing paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
- Following up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes”, and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
- Maintaining an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
- Maintaining a professional appearance.
- Maintaining a clean, professional, and safe work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record with Motorcycle endorsement.
- Must have basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
- This position requires frequent standing, sitting, and walking as well as getting in and out of vehicles throughout the day.
- Courteous, effective, and professional communication with customers and staff is required.
Pay is a base salary plus commission from a percentage of unit gross and accessories.
