IT Specialist, Data Science Manager
The Director, Protective Services provides leadership in directing programs to assure the safety and security of faculty, staff, students, visitors, and property. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating all programs and activities of the Protective Services Department (WUSMPS). WUSMPS is an accredited (NACSA) force of armed response officers and unarmed public safety and communications officers who provide security coverage for the medical campus on a 24/7/365 basis.
The medical campus comprises 65 university buildings and serves over 10.5 million gross square feet of space, 164 acres, and a 4.6-mile campus perimeter. WUSMPS supports the clinical, educational, and research missions of WashU Med and maintains a close partnership with WashU Emergency Management and campus partners to ensure adequate planning and response.
- 10 Years Security Administration/Law Enforcement Required
- 8 Years Law Enforcement Supervision Required
- 5 Years Medical School or Medical Facility Environment Preferred
- 5 Years Professional Law Enforcement Management, Campus Safety, or Emergency Management Preferred
- 5 Years Professional Law Enforcement Management Positions of Increasing Responsibility or Complexity
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Class E License (MO) or Class D License (IL) Required
- 5 years experience in advanced law enforcement training Preferred
