Job Description
Garda World Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Officer. Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard? As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, and more.

St. Louis Airport - We have six available schedules:
- Shift 1:
Full time, 2nd shift, Thursday through Monday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. - Shift 2:
Full time, 2nd shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. - Shift 3:
Full time, 2nd shift, Sunday through Wednesday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. - Shift 4:
Full time, 2nd shift, Friday through Monday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. - Shift 5:
Full time, 1st shift, Sunday through Wednesday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Shift 1:
- Competitive hourly wage of $22.20 /hour ($16.84 + $5.35 stipend, effective March 30 2024)

- Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
- Verify identities and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents
- Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
- Document incidents and actions taken
- Respond to alarms and conduct on‑site checks
- Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED
- Successfully complete an extensive screening process
- First‑aid certification is an asset
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
- Security, military, or law enforcement experience (even better)
- State license if required
Employment is contingent on the successful completion of a background check and drug screening to be conducted after an offer of employment is extended.
