Interface is seeking an experienced Lead Installation Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for the cabling, programming, testing, and commissioning of systems on a project. Depending on the size of the job, you could have one installer with you or direct other installers to facilitate the job. You will relay updates, setbacks, and challenges to leadership. Install and test Fire Alarm, Security Alarm, TCP/IP Networks, Video Surveillance, Access Control & Wireless solutions, terminate and commission cables while multitasking to keep the project on schedule.

Responsibilities- Install and maintain Intrusion, Fire, Video Surveillance, Network and VoIP integrated systems.
- Work in the field with efficient methods to solve service issues.
- Train customers on Interface provided systems.
- Train new employees on Interface policies and job duties.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting physical inventory counts.
- Verify and submit all documentation for inventoried items according to company policy.
- Install and terminate network and security cabling.
- Fire stopping various types of cable penetrations.
- Install systems to current NEC standards.
- Effectively relay information to project team and leadership.
- Adhere to OSHA Health & Company Safety Manual policies.
- Interface with customer contacts on projects and service requests.
- Coordinate with vendors for each project.
- Provide hands‑on field interaction with customers at the site level.
- Maintain assigned vehicle and tools.
- High School Diploma or GED;
Vocational/Technical/Business School is strongly preferred. - Preferably 6+ years of experience as a proven field technician in the electronic security industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
- NICET Certification is a plus.
- Verifiable field experience.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
- Solid comprehension of terminology related to telecom, data, security, and wireless systems.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local safety standards.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Pass applicable state and federal background checks to become a registered security installer.
- Comfortable using small hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel overnight.
- Physical demands:
Finger and wrist dexterity and hand/eye coordination; heavy physical effort; climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolds; ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts, rooftops utilizing proper fall protection; carrying loads up and down.
