Location: St. Louis

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Field Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on carpentry experience and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

The Field Carpenter will support the on-site construction team in a variety of carpentry tasks, working under the direction of the Lead Carpenter and Project Manager. This role involves framing, finish carpentry, material handling, and job site upkeep. A background in historical renovation is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim, installation of windows/doors, siding, and flooring.
  • Support Lead Carpenter and crew with day-to-day site operations.
  • Assist in unloading, staging, and organizing materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Use hand and power tools with proper safety and care.
  • Follow directions from the Lead Carpenter and adapt to evolving site conditions.
  • Wear required PPE and follow all site safety protocols.
  • Occasionally, interface with subcontractors and suppliers under supervision.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial carpentry. Historical renovation experience is a plus.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Licenses/Certifications: Driver’s License (Required), OSHA 10 Card (Preferred).
Skills
  • Proficiency in using standard carpentry tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Reliability and willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or scaffolding as needed.
Compensation

$35 hourly
