POSITION TITLE: Fiber Optic DC Technician II
CLASSIFICATION: Non‑Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform mid‑level fiber and copper cable installation, including termination, assembly, and dressing to satisfy customer requirements.
- Independently add and remove non‑powered cables and equipment following the scope of the project.
- Remove customer equipment (racks, cabinets, etc.) from fixed locations such as walls, concrete floors, and raised floors.
- Test customer copper and fiber cables with various testing equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Read and understand construction prints and cable markings, and create labels for installed equipment to ensure a satisfactory deliverable.
- Install cable pathways (e.g., J‑hooks, support rings, cable slings, cable trays, ladder racks) and ground/bond IT equipment to satisfy customer expectations.
- Constantly assess potential safety hazards and adhere to all ADB and customer safety expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Supports ISP projects nationwide in various customer facilities.
- Work in a variety of physical positions: sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite.
- Required to wear common protective safety equipment: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel‑toed boots.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- 1–3 years of cable installation experience required.
- Minimum one manufacturer certification (e.g., Comm Scope, B‑Line) preferred but not required.
- Man lift, CPR, and OSHA 10 certifications preferred; ability to obtain upon hire required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
PAY The starting pay for this position is $26/hr and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
