Schicker Ford of St. Louis is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Automotive Diesel Technician to join our service department. This role is ideal for a Journeyman, Master, or Senior Master Technician with strong diagnostic skills and experience working on Ford heavy‑duty trucks, diesel systems, and complex repairs. ASE certification is required. Ford OEM certification—especially diesel or HD credentials—is strongly preferred, but we’re also open to technicians looking to grow into advanced Ford certifications with paid training.
This position is NOT for non‑experienced or beginners.

- Perform heavy‑duty and advanced mechanical repairs according to repair orders with precision and efficiency
- Diagnose and repair Ford gasoline and diesel powertrains, including engine, transmission, drivetrain, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and Ford‑specific equipment
- Test‑drive vehicles to verify concerns and completed repairs
- Complete warranty and recall work in compliance with Ford OEM standards
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding diagnostics, repair needs, and timelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work area
- ASE Certification Required (Ford OEM certification preferred)
- Heavy‑Duty and/or Diesel Experience Strongly Preferred
- Missouri State Inspector License (preferred)
- Proven diagnostic and advanced repair experience
- Strong understanding of Ford systems and repair procedures
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high‑quality standards
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces and vehicles
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, and gloves when required
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Need to be able to work in a tobacco free environment
