Location: St. Louis

Job Summary

The Bilingual (Spanish) Social Worker & Counselor supports the holistic development of students—spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically—within the mission of Catholic education. Serving English- and Spanish-speaking students and families, the role provides counseling, social work services, and family engagement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
  • Support Spanish-speaking students and families with culturally and linguistically appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and pastoral staff to foster belonging and student success.
  • Connect families to community resources and assist in navigating social services.
  • Serve as coordinator of the family-school parent organization to promote engagement and partnership with the school community.
  • Promote Gospel values and Catholic social teaching in all interactions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and crisis intervention as needed.

Schedule Part Time during the school year, with occasional evenings/weekends for family engagement events.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent (state-appropriate).
  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with strong communication skills.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in school or child-focused setting preferred.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred; must demonstrate commitment to Catholic education.
  • Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Professional judgment and confidentiality.
