Program Coordinator – Social Services
Employer: Fathers & Families Support Center
Location: St. Louis, MO
Base Pay Range: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
Job StatusFull-time / Exempt
Responsibilities- Provide leadership to the program department and assist in managing, planning, and completing activities related to the monitoring, documentation, and reporting of programs.
- Oversee staff, including timesheets, PTO requests, coaching, and daily communication with the Director.
- Assist with day‑to‑day duties and recruitment efforts for the department.
- Manage ongoing case management of the team, ensuring weekly contact with graduates for at least one year after graduation to monitor program goal achievement.
- Complete and distribute class rosters, facilitate peer and family support groups, develop and select topics and programs, and secure outside guest speakers.
- Assist with the development and/or facilitation of staff trainings and in‑service education specific to the social services team; provide presentation of services; travel to multiple locations.
- Serve as liaison to collect monthly statistics/data and prepare monthly summaries.
- Provide onboarding, training, and assistance to new hires, staff, and subcontractors.
- Prepare reports for and participate in all staff and department meetings and facilitate meetings as necessary.
- Utilize community resources and social support systems to assist the team in aiding clients with reaching self‑sufficiency.
- Oversee bonding activities, distribution of incentives, bus tickets, and gas cards.
- Observe parent/child interactions and process child abuse/neglect applications as needed.
- Serve as backup to the Director and attend all staff meetings; travel and attend external events as needed.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilize agency and community resources to meet goals.
- Organize and present information; team oriented and able to work independently.
- Understanding and practice of the NASW code of ethics.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or management preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field combined with experience may be sufficient. Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Competence in working with men and women who need direction related to parenting issues.
- Valid Missouri driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
