Working collaboratively with individuals, businesses, government and other service providers, St. Patrick Center will end chronic homelessness in the St.
Louis region through Housing First—an evidence‑based practice that removes barriers, does intake and assessment early, moves people into housing, and offers them support to achieve their goals.
The Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, service line St. Patrick Center, is hiring a Program Manager for our Housing, Employment, and Recovery Opportunities (HERO) program. The HERO Program Manager will oversee the program’s objectives while providing leadership and support to the HERO Intensive Case Management (ICM) staff. This role works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Responsibilities- Monitor Project HERO to ensure success of program contract goals
- Supervise and train case management staff and conduct annual performance evaluations
- Coordinate purchase of supportive services (clothing, shoes, uniforms, tools, IDs, rent requests, haircuts, stipends, etc.), verifying CTS documentation requirements and approving check requests in accordance with accounting requirements
- Compile required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and statistics for program reporting
- Outreach veterans by networking with other Veteran service providers and inform employers and community groups about services provided rick Center (SPC)
- Assist the Employment Director with day‑to‑day operations to ensure good customer service
- Conduct comprehensive, ongoing assessments of program clients’ mental illness, physical health, housing status, and other relevant needs
- Provide direct clinical services to clients on an individual and group basis in the office and in community settings, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Refer clients to appropriate community agencies and assist clients when needed
- Act as liaison and consult with community agencies and program clients to maintain coordination in the treatment process
- Collaborate with case management team during daily and weekly staff meetings
- Facilitate treatment planning groups, setting treatment goals with clients focused on personal growth and recovery
- Provide on‑call crisis intervention in coordination with other staff members, covering nighttime hours and weekends
- Monitor 30‑, 60‑, and 90‑day follow‑ups on all program placement and document progress
- Complete daily and monthly departmental paperwork and maintain SPC client tracking system and client files
- Research additional benefits available to enhance services
- Coordinate agency‑wide or seasonal projects such as School Supply Distribution, Thanksgiving Distribution, Christmas Distributions
- Ensure the care model aligns with all SPC programs and maintain agency policy regarding work hours, building security, and written personnel standards
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Master’s in social work, project management, or counseling preferred
- Experience in program management and staff supervision
- Experience working with Veteran population preferred
- Experience with mental illness and substance abuse
- Experience with wrap‑around services and homeless veterans
- Experience conducting home visits
- Knowledge of community resources for appropriate referrals
- Knowledge of federal, state, and agency policies including HIPAA
- Valid driver’s license (MO residents require Class
E) - Valid auto insurance and reliable vehicle
- Proficient in Excel and other data‑keeping methods
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
