Senior Software Engineer

About the Role:

As a Software Engineer you'll play a crucial role in building both frontend and backend solutions for our customer service applications. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with Product/Business stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in team prioritization discussions with stakeholders
• Estimate and own delivery tasks, ensuring high-quality design, dev, testing, and deployment
• Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software
• Drive code/design/process trade-offs, report status, and manage risks
• Lead integration of services to optimize customer experience and journey
• Perform demos and acceptance discussions with Product Owners
• Contribute to improving operational and engineering experiences
• Mentor and guide less-experienced team members
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance productivity

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in frontend UI development, with strong CSS and layout techniques
• Passion for UI frontend tool chains and modern engineering practices
• Strong experience with building self-testing code (TDD, ATDD/BDD)
• Fast learner with a collaborative, proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first mentality

Bonus Points:

• Experience with UX design, wire framing, and prototyping
• Familiarity with frameworks like React/Vue.js
• Experience with backend services (Java, Spring Boot, Cloud Native platforms like PCF, Kubernetes)
