Full Stack Java Developer

Base Pay Range

$70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

We are seeking a Senior-level Full Stack Java Developer with a strong emphasis on backend development to support and enhance critical enterprise applications. This role will work closely with key business users and technical stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise across application design, development, and support.

You will partner closely with an existing technical lead while owning smaller initiatives and contributing hands-on to both new development and ongoing enhancements. Because of the collaborative nature of the work, local presence in the office 3–4 days per week is required.

• Design, develop, and support server-side Java web applications with a strong focus on backend services and data access layers
• Work with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Build and maintain RESTful services and APIs
• Develop and maintain database-driven applications using Oracle and ORM frameworks (JPA/Hibernate)
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA to ensure quality, security, and maintainability
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in application architecture and development standards

• 10+ years of backend Java development building server-side web applications
• 5+ years working with Spring and Java container frameworks (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, etc.)
• Strong experience designing and building REST APIs, services, and business logic layers
• Strong experience with Java persistence frameworks (JPA, Hibernate)
• Strong experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
• Strong analytical, design, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with users and stakeholders

• Experience with responsive web design
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with Spring JPA, Spring Security, and Spring AOP
• Experience using Eclipse, Maven, Tomcat, Mac OS X, Linux, and shell scripting
