We seek to fill a Senior Service Now Software Engineer role in Saint Louis, MO

HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Senior Service Now Software Engineer to support a major greenfield Service Now implementation and modernization of existing Service Now development and infrastructure automation workflows.

This is a hands-on development role focused on building and supporting integrations between Service Now and infrastructure automation solutions. The environment is moving toward greater use of out-of-the-box Service Now functionality, reduced customization, lower technical debt, and a platform foundation capable of supporting future Service Now AI capabilities.

• Provide senior-level Service Now development for a greenfield implementation
• Design solutions that maximize out-of-the-box Service Now capabilities and minimize unnecessary customization
• Review and modernize existing workflows, scripts, field mappings, and integrations
• Develop, test, deploy, and support Service Now integrations
• Update integrations as Service Now fields, data models, and workflows change
• Support automation involving change tickets, incidents, service requests, and related ITSM records
• Modify associated Ansible automation as Service Now requirements change
• Partner with the centralized Service Now platform team while independently owning development deliverables
• Troubleshoot complex Service Now workflow, scripting, integration, and automation issues
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve platform maintainability
• Participate in code reviews, testing, releases, and platform readiness activities
• Develop technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials
• Establish reusable development patterns and Service Now best practices

• Senior-level enterprise Service Now development experience
• Strong hands-on Service Now server-side and client-side development
• Service Now scripting and workflow configuration experience
• Strong experience developing and maintaining integrations using REST APIs, web services, webhooks, and related integration methods.
• Experience evaluating customized Service Now solutions, reducing technical debt, and redesigning solutions to leverage standard platform capabilities when appropriate.
• Experience adapting integrations when Service Now data models, fields, or platform requirements change
• Experience evaluating customized solutions and moving toward out-of-the-box Service Now capabilities
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices
• Source control, testing, release management, and production support experience
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience
