Maintenance Supervisor - Off Shift

Overview

Maintenance Supervisor - Off Shift at American Rheinmetall Vehicles (formerly Loc Performance). This role supervises maintenance functions for a designated shift, ensuring safety, reliability, and equipment uptime.

Utilizes knowledge of facilities, machinery, and equipment to plan, organize, direct, and supervise all maintenance functions for a designated shift. Assess the labor, material, and time needed to complete maintenance tasks.

• Work with internal customers to coordinate downtime required for maintenance needs.
• Manage the maintenance hourly workforce on a designated shift, with a focus on safety and the safety of others.
• Maximize production uptime efficiencies.
• Plan and schedule for the efficient execution of non-breakdown maintenance jobs within the plant area to maximize equipment uptime and minimize maintenance expenses.
• Direct the assigned workforce in the installation and maintenance of assets including equipment, tooling, and systems in assigned areas, ensuring skilled craftsmen work safely, follow OSHA regulations, and Lock Out/Tag Out equipment where required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedules and manhour usage for the Maintenance Manager.
• Enforce contractual obligations and collaborate with HR to maintain consistent application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
• Assist craftsmen with troubleshooting machines.
• Create and implement solutions to recurring issues, seeking appropriate approvals when required.
• Research and procure outside materials when needed.
• Perform studies and coordinate process improvements; participate in cost savings projects.
• Assist engineering with installation of projects when needed and support internal customer activities as requested.
• Demonstrate prior supervisory experience within a maintenance role; this position may predominantly be night shift (2nd or 3rd).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Extensive working knowledge of manufacturing practices across diverse processes.
• Project management experience preferred; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience required; ability to work in a fast-paced and varying environment; strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with writing and troubleshooting PLC programs and hardware, especially Allen Bradley.
• Associate degree (A.S.) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Safety: Follow safety procedures, security protocol, and wear proper PPE.
