Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 4 years of CVICU experience and advanced cardiac support skills.
Responsibilities- Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
- Cares for adult cardiac patients including those requiring specialized cardiac procedures
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Utilizes cardiac support devices such as Balloon Pump, Impella, and CRRT
- Night shift schedule, working 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Weekend coverage is required every third weekend
- EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
- Perform nursing care for critically ill cardiac patients with advanced cardiac devices
- Advanced cardiac support responsibilities include care for patients with Balloon Pump, Impella, and CRRT
- Competency assessment includes advanced dysrhythmia testing
- Night shift position with structured weekend coverage
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum 4 years of recent CVICU experience required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Must be able to pass an advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency exam
- Experience with EPIC EMR required
- Must provide two references for consideration
