The Capitol Area Architect is looking for a part-time Fellow for up to one year to assist with the commemorative works process. Ideal candidates will bring experience in urban design and historical research, along with skills in stakeholder communications. You’ll work under the Principal Planner to create a communications framework, enhancing community engagement and ensuring effective applicant guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support modification/addition to commemorative artworks
• Develop communications framework for stakeholders
• Create checklists and best practices for applicants
• Engage with community members and organizations
• Implement policies aligned with Capitol Mall design
Requirements:
• Minimum one year’s experience in relevant fields
• Familiarity with public processes in planning
• Clear communication skills for diverse audiences
• Proficient in social media and email management
• Knowledge of design software like Sketch Up and Adobe
Help shape the future of commemorative works through effective planning and communication at the Capitol Area Architect.
