As the Emergency Planning & Project Coordinator, you will develop, implement, lead and maintain complex priority projects including partner engagement strategies, managing reporting and progress, planning the transition to agency business areas, and maintaining visibility for leadership through reporting and data visualization. This role includes responsibilities legislatively mandated related to updating the state’s emergency responsibilities for the Department of Human Services (DHS).
ResponsibilitiesInclude But May Not Be Limited To
- Design, plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and recommend improvements for agency projects, especially those in the service of strategic planning and implementation.
- Provide coordination for projects through guidance, technical expertise for evaluation, development, and the implementation of change management strategies.
- Responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality project management practices, including but not limited to project initiation support services for Project Sponsors, resource estimation, project planning, project performance and risk management, and project closing activities, including lessons learned.
- Provides expert level advice to emergency management and agency decision makers through the coordination and support of emergency management activities to include emergency repatriation, mass care, and family assistance center planning and coordination.

Three (3) years’ working experience coordinating and managing emergency response and planning.
Experience Must Include- Thorough knowledge and practical understanding of emergency management principles and practices that include federal and state planning requirements for crisis and emergency incidents.
- Knowledge of and experience in working within crisis and disaster environments with an emphasis on crisis humanitarian-based response.
- Knowledge of and experience in planning for crisis and disaster events.
