This position administers the agency workers’ compensation program regionally for the Metro District, providing claim management expertise and supporting statewide program compliance. The incumbent ensures employees receive appropriate benefits, maintains agency compliance with Minnesota state statutes and rules, and may develop policies and provide essential services to improve the well‑being and quality of life for all Minnesotans.
Minimum Qualifications- Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Laws, Statutes, Rules
- Current disability case management practice and techniques
- ADA‑AA, FMLA
- Medical terminology sufficient to understand and analyze workers’ compensation reports
- Legal terminology sufficient to understand judges’ decisions and related workers’ compensation legal activities
- MN Managed Care Rules, practices, policies and procedures sufficient to understand and explain the process by which cases are reviewed and decisions reached
- Software experience such as spreadsheets, word processing, and database management systems
- Mathematical skills sufficient to administer the Leave Supplement Program
- Successful candidate must pass past‑employer reference checks and criminal history check
- Background investigation may include: SEMA4 Records Check, Criminal History Check, Employment Reference Check, Education/License Verification, and Drug testing (if needed)
