Job Title
Billing Specialist
Responsibilities- Prepare and review AIA billing documents to accurately reflect project progress and costs.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish billing schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain organized records of all billing-related documents, including change orders, contracts, and lien waivers.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and change requests.
- Process customer payments timely and contact customers to discuss overdue payments and update account status.
- Locate customers using appropriate resources and process payments and refunds.
- Call customers to resolve billing and credit issues.
- Take actions to encourage timely payments and reduce accounts receivable balances.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to streamline processes and increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures, ensuring proper internal controls exist.
- Assist with special projects, billing/collection research, and ad hoc analysis as needed.
- 3+ years of Construction Billing experience
- 2+ years of AIA billing experience
- 2+ years of Customer Reconciliation Experience
- System experience with Coins (K2A would be a plus)
- Billing, construction billing, invoicing, accounts receivable
Skills & Qualifications
- Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Knowledge of T&M (Time and Materials Billing)
- Understanding of GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) associated with contracts

JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
