Billing Specialist

• Prepare and review AIA billing documents to accurately reflect project progress and costs.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish billing schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain organized records of all billing-related documents, including change orders, contracts, and lien waivers.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and change requests.
• Process customer payments timely and contact customers to discuss overdue payments and update account status.
• Locate customers using appropriate resources and process payments and refunds.
• Call customers to resolve billing and credit issues.
• Take actions to encourage timely payments and reduce accounts receivable balances.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to streamline processes and increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures, ensuring proper internal controls exist.
• Assist with special projects, billing/collection research, and ad hoc analysis as needed.

• 3+ years of Construction Billing experience
• 2+ years of AIA billing experience
• 2+ years of Customer Reconciliation Experience
• System experience with Coins (K2A would be a plus)
• Billing, construction billing, invoicing, accounts receivable

• Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Knowledge of T&M (Time and Materials Billing)
• Understanding of GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) associated with contracts

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
