Staff Accountant

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant role requires a self-starting professional who is comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other financial activities.

• Analyzes financial records detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and reviews and verifies balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
• Daily reconciliation of bank account and ensure timely posting of activity
• Responsible for monthly unit inventory reconciliations and commissions calculations
• Responsible for lease accounting, property tax filings, and prepaid rent
• Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Participate in process improvement projects
• Assist in annual budget process
• Assist with annual audit, tax filings, and various other regulatory filings
• Prepare and maintain documentation for tasks
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
• Monitor compliance with laws, generally accepted accounting principles, and internal company policies
• Other duties as assigned

• BA in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years in an accounting role
• Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail
• Proficient usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly

• Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for frequent use of a computer
• Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
• Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 20 lbs occasionally
• Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards

Wage Range: $63,700-$80,000 annually
