Bring your mortgage servicing and investor accounting experience to a leadership role where you can develop a team, solve complex accounting issues, and improve how work gets done.

Solomon Edwards is seeking a manager to oversee investor reporting, remittances, cash activity, and account reconciliations. You will guide the team’s daily work, review exceptions, and help ensure accurate reporting and timely payments across mortgage investor portfolios.

Reporting to the Director of Investor Accounting, you will work with Treasury, Finance, Servicing, and other business partners to strengthen controls, simplify workflows, and improve reporting. This opportunity may appeal to an experienced manager or a supervisor with the required leadership experience who is ready for broader responsibility.

• Lead daily team activities, establish priorities, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and training.
• Oversee investor reporting and remittances, ensuring submissions and payments meet applicable requirements and deadlines.
• Review complex reconciliations, investigate cash and reporting discrepancies, and coordinate resolution of investor questions.
• Supervise bank account administration and review banking fees for potential cost savings.
• Maintain accounting procedures and controls that support SOX, investor requirements, and mortgage servicing obligations.
• Support audits by reviewing documentation, preparing responses, and tracking corrective actions.
• Improve workflows and reporting through process changes, automation, and system enhancements; oversee testing of updates.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve operational issues and prepare analysis that supports management decisions and departmental planning.

• Six or more years of progressive experience in mortgage accounting or mortgage banking, with experience relevant to investor reporting, remittances, or reconciliations.
• At least two years of supervisory or people management experience.
• Working knowledge of agency and institutional investor reporting and servicing requirements, including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, HUD, FHA, CMBS, and life company portfolios.
• Understanding of commercial real estate finance, mortgage servicing guidelines, and applicable regulations.
• Familiarity with SOX requirements and accounting controls.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reconciliation, along with the ability to investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Experience improving accounting processes, reporting, or servicing systems.
• Experience supporting audits or regulatory examinations.

This assignment offers a hybrid schedule, benefits, and the opportunity to contribute your expertise over a 1-1.5 year engagement, with potential for direct hire. You will have a visible role in developing staff, partnering across business functions, and making practical improvements to investor accounting operations.
