Full‑time, at‑will temporary positions are available with the Public Information Services office during the 2026 legislative session. Candidates with part‑time availability may also be considered. This front desk, customer‑service position includes front‑office support, phone and in‑person inquiries, and technology‑related tasks.
Responsibilities- Answer office phone calls and respond to in‑person inquiries.
- Process, upload, and proof video files and other department content.
- Provide quality‑assurance checks and general support services for the office.
- Perform a variety of office duties, including document handling and record keeping.
- Strong public‑relations skills, excellent phone manners, and a keen eye for detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and related database/spreadsheet software.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems; journalism and/or social‑media experience is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb for publication delivery and inventory management.
- Understanding of state government and the legislative process is helpful.
Hourly wage: $26.43‑$47.57, commensurate with experience. Positions are anticipated to begin in mid‑February and run approximately through the end of May, depending on session length.
