Base pay range: $16.40/hr - $19.80/hr the pay range provided by the University is used as a good faith estimate; actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Job SummaryThis position exists to process & ship online orders as well as assist in the coordination and workflow within the mail center.
Essential Functions- Processing online Campus Store Orders and shipping them out with all relevant paperwork filed. If an order cannot be filled, it is routed to the appropriate buyer for resolution, and back‑orders are followed up to ensure timely resolution.
- Assisting in directing interoffice and external mail services; establishing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards to assure timely processing and delivery of mail and packages. Communicating information to the campus community and routing mail and packages to inside and outside runs.
- Knowledge of regulations regarding domestic and foreign shipping, pricing, and cost‑saving services to the community. Handling the process and management of postage meter machines, metering mail, and ensuring chargebacks are applied to the mail room.
- Training student workers on all aspects of the Mailroom operations and MBS order processing on Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. Scheduling students to meet the needs of the Mailroom while staying within the budget.
- Other duties assigned by the Director of Campus Stores/Mail Services, including assistance with campus store activities during high‑traffic or peak times, as assigned.
- High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in a mailroom or office setting.
- Must have a MN driver’s license with no outstanding violations.
- Completion of a DMV background check.
