The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.
The Council’s
Procurement department supports purchasing goods and services necessary to conduct Council business.
This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
The Principal Contract Administrator provides oversight in the development of solicitations for Specifications for Invitation for Bid (IFB) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents. Will run solicitations publicly, formally and informally, manage bid openings, and facilitate evaluation panels for RFPs. Will award and execute contracts, prepare and negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Any of the following combinations of completed education (in business, finance, public administration, or a closely related field) and experience (in contract administration):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with five (5) years of experience
- Associate degree with seven (7) years of experience
- High school diploma/GED with nine (9) years of experience
Salary Range: $93,017.60 - $ Annually
