This Opportunity

• Observing construction on a variety of Transportation, Civil and/or Municipal infrastructure projects to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Documenting the day-to-day field and inspection activities, material sampling and testing, and measuring of quantities.
• Prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress, and conflict resolution meetings, negotiate and prepare construction change orders.
• Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and other SEH personnel.
• May assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules and completing constructability reviews

Essential Qualifications

• This position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in the construction field
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to walk and climb over rough terrain associated with construction sites
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site observations, etc. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of applicable DOT Technical Certifications or ability to obtain within six (6) months
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD or Micro Station

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $35 and $42 based on skill set…
