Job DescriptionOversee construction personnel and ensure work matches the project plans and schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform oversight of construction personnel working on a small assigned area of the construction site.
- Ensure construction work matches construction plans and identifies deficiencies in constructed structures.
- Review contract terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with timelines, costs, and materials.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff, reviewing their work and documenting deficiencies.
- Prepare related reports (e.g., monthly progress reports) and maintain daily construction activity reports.
- Communicate construction issues to project leadership and collaborate with design staff for resolution.
- Close the loop when documented issues are resolved.
- High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.
- 8 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required (10% travel).
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills And Abilities- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Intermediate knowledge of arithmetic and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and quick learning of new applications.
- Advanced knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.
- Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain construction plans, drawings, contract provisions, and specifications.

Pay RangeMinimum dollar amount: $67,704
Maximum dollar amount: $111,738
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
