Writer (Temporary Position) – Minnesota House of Representatives
Full‑time temporary at‑will positions are available with the Minnesota House of Representatives as writers for the nonpartisan Public Information Services office.
Duties are to provide online content during the 2026 legislative session, including on‑site, same‑day committee and floor session coverage. Longer, in‑depth feature stories will also be sought. Some long and irregular hours may be required.

- Write longer, in‑depth feature stories as needed.
- Write clearly and quickly about complex subjects.
- Strong reporting and writing skills; news reporting experience strongly encouraged.
- Understanding of state government, legislative and office procedures.
Hourly wage $29.34 - $52.80, commensurate with experience.
Positions are anticipated to begin in mid‑February and run approximately through the end of May, depending on session length.
