About the RoleVivint’s Alarm Monitoring Specialists protect families and property 24/7. As a Monitoring Specialist, you will respond to alarm signals from customers’ alarm systems, dispatch emergency signals to police, fire, and medical agencies, and provide world‑class customer service in times of need.
What We Offer- Comprehensive Training:
Paid, full‑time, mandatory 5 weeks - Shift Pay Differentials + biweekly performance bonus + commissions + additional monthly/quarterly bonus
Full Time, Paid, Mandatory 5 weeks (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm Monday through Friday)
Schedules Available- 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Day Shift)
- 10:00 pm - 6:00 am (Third Shift)
$18.00/hr (potential to grow up to $19.25/hr and other career growth opportunities within the first year)
Additional Compensation- Additional $3/hr for hours worked during 3rd shift on site in our Eagan, MN office.
- Additional $1.00/hr for bilingual Spanish/English speakers.
- Bonuses: additional $3-5/hr for top performers, +$1.50/hr for average performers
- Must be able to work in our Eagan, MN office.
- Must pass an FBI criminal background check to obtain a Burglar Alarm License (or equivalent) in all 50 states.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
- One year customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- New hires complete a 3‑week new hire classroom training followed by a 2‑week hands‑on training.
- Includes comprehensive training on alarm SOPs and how to assist customers in emergency situations.
- Dispatch police, fire or EMS when needed.
- Notify customers of non‑emergency signals.
- Notify account contacts of emergency signals after dispatch.
- Receive and process inbound calls requesting information.
- Position requires some weekend, holiday, and shift work and may require mandatory overtime.

- Ability to use discretion and problem analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Extensive training will be provided before taking emergency calls.
- Highly dependable with regular and punctual attendance.
- Thriving in a workday equipped with repetitive interactions or processes.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and the internet.
