Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Radiation Oncology

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine (UMN-CVM) is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our expanding Oncology team. The successful candidate will join 2 medical oncologists, 3 medical oncology house officers, supported by 4 medical oncology technicians, 2 radiation oncology technicians, and a veterinary technician assistant. The team aims to advance clinical care, research, and education in a collaborative academic environment.

This is a full-time, tenure-track or non-tenure clinical track faculty position in Radiation Oncology at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on qualifications and experience.

The candidate will work with the medical oncology team to provide advanced radiation therapy for companion animals, contributing to service, teaching, and research missions. Responsibilities include clinical service, instruction, and research, with flexible time allocation based on professional goals.

The UMN Veterinary Medical Center offers a comprehensive specialty hospital environment, featuring the state's only veterinary linear accelerator with advanced capabilities, and close collaboration with radiation oncologists, therapists, and physicists. Opportunities include participation in treatment planning, seminars, and research, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and software.

Engage in independent and collaborative research within the Animal Cancer Care and Research (ACCR) Program, focusing on immunotherapy, imaging, radio biology, and translational studies, with numerous funding options and collaborations across campus and with national networks.

Faculty participate in mentoring DVM students, graduate students, and house officers, with support from educational resources and professional development programs. Opportunities exist for research in teaching methodologies and leadership training.

Applicants must hold a DVM/VMD or equivalent degree, be ACVR Radiation Oncology board-certified or have completed an approved residency, and be eligible for Minnesota veterinary licensure.
