Salary Range/Hourly Rate: $40/hr.

Dates of ESY: June 10, 2026 (Set Up) and June 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 for ESY Programming.

Work Days/Times: Proposed days:
Mon‑Fri per the ESY calendar;
Proposed times:
Secondary: 7:15 am‑11:15 am and ECSE/Elem: 8:45 am‑12:45 pm (dates, times and location may change based on student and/or District needs).

Student Level: ECSE/Elementary and/or Secondary.

Proposed Site(s): ECSE/Elem (Otter Lake) and Middle, High School+ (Transition Education Center – Formerly Hugo Elementary). The final determination for the ESY site will be made closer to ESY programming.

Position Summary: The White Bear Lake Area Schools is currently seeking a Health and Wellness teacher to work in our Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position will support students in increasing their understanding of health and wellness by participating in activities that promote physical fitness, making good choices, and decision making. Work is performed under the limited supervision of Student Support Services Administrators.

Education and/or

Experience:

Bachelor's degree with coursework in special education teaching, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:

• MN Teaching License in the area of Special Education or related services.
• DAPE Licensure (preferred)
• Experience working with elementary and secondary students is preferred.
• Experience working with White Bear Lake Area Schools cluster programs preferred.
• ESY Experience (Preferred)
