Student Life Program Coordinator at Concordia University-St. Paul

Pay Range

Base pay range: $24.00/hr – $29.00/hr

Position Overview

The Student Life Program Coordinator supports the retention, engagement, and development of students by leading orientation and first‑year connection programs. The Coordinator creates initiatives that meet student needs, collaborates with academic and student support departments, and provides connections to individualized support.

Essential Duties
  • Orientation and First‑Year Programs
    • Support planning, coordination, and execution of Orientation and First‑Year Programs.
    • Recruit, train, schedule, and develop student leaders involved in support programs.
    • Coordinate First‑Year Forum programming with faculty, student leaders, and campus partners.
    • Create spaces and opportunities for first‑year and new‑student connection.
  • Program Development and Coordination
    • Develop, implement, and assess programs supporting all students.
    • Coordinate workshops, events, and outreach for academic skill‑building.
    • Serve as primary advisor to identity‑based student clubs and organizations.
    • Collaborate with campus partners for inclusive student support services.
    • Manage the budget and resources for related programs.
  • Academic Success Partnerships
    • Design and facilitate success sessions with academic departments.
    • Use Navigate 360 to identify at‑risk students and coordinate outreach.
    • Enhance existing support structures and create new pathways for student connection and academic progress.
  • Student Support and Case Management
    • Meet with students individually or in small groups to assess needs.
    • Provide responsive support for academic, financial, or personal barriers.
    • Maintain accurate records of student interactions.
  • Assessment and Reporting
    • Collect and analyze data on student participation and outcomes.
    • Contribute to regular reports on program effectiveness.
  • Campus and Community Engagement
    • Serve as a visible and approachable resource.
    • Assist with planning orientation events for students and families.
    • Participate in campus committees and initiatives.
  • Additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in higher education, student affairs, social sciences, or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years experience working with college students in higher education.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
  • Preferred
    • Master’s degree in higher education administration, counseling, or related field.
    • Experience developing and assessing student programs or retention initiatives.
    • Familiarity with early alert systems and student success data platforms.
