Start Date: February 2026
Salary: Per NSPMOEA Master Contract
Work Year: 2025–2026 School Year
About The PositionNorth High School is seeking an energetic, student-focused Spring Theater Director to lead our high school theater program, inspire student performers and technicians, and deliver a high-quality spring stage production. The ideal candidate brings passion for theater education, strong leadership, and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Required Qualifications- Experience directing high school–level plays and/or musical(s)
- Experience working with high school–aged students
- Availability for rehearsals from 2:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday–Sunday
- Availability for extended hours 2:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. during production week(s)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of set design and construction
- Knowledge of sound and lighting systems
- Ability to build and maintain strong community relationships
- Experience developing and/or maintaining theater program websites
- Ability to effectively promote and market a theater program
