Volunteer - Admissions

Although there are many stations that need to be covered during our event, Admissions is, not surprisingly, the busiest area of all. We have a LOT of people coming to the event over the weekend and it can get kind of chaotic  city of St. Paul holds a parade at mid‑day on St. Patrick's day (this year, March 16th) which ends at the front doors of the landmark center, so we usually get a RUSH of people around 1pm that day.

All Admissions volunteers work as teams of two. Each team will have a money handler and a wristband person. You will work as a team to efficiently process guests through the line. This is designed so that as one person handles the money, ensuring correct charges and change, the other person can put on the wrist bands. You will need to communicate effectively with each other to make sure the correct bands are given to the correct person.

You may also prefer to work in the performance area, ushering in the Weyerhaeuser Stage; assistant in the childrens stage/crafts/face painting areas; serving pizza; stage managing; performer/volunteer checkin; and MANY other areas....all while the Celtic dancers perform on stage to live Irish music!
