Position Duration:
This is a short-term position with a duration of 2 years with the possibility of extension dependent on the department.
The Project Coordinator will assist the project principal investigators (PIs) in managing the collaboration of 11 institutions. Specific duties include:
Coordinating collaboration, Executive Committee, Advisory Board, Ambassador, and Evaluator meetings; tracking the project's progress both at local institutions and with project-wide products; managing collaboration-wide budget items; developing and maintain the project website and document repository; assisting in tracking and submission of conference and workshop abstracts and papers; and additional organizational duties as assigned by the PIs
- 30% Coordinate cross-institutional project planning meetings with the Executive Committee, Advisory Board, Ambassadors, and Evaluators.
- 20% Assists with monitoring research project milestones and deliverables, tracking progress across institutions while ensuring project-wide products are completed on schedule.
- 20% Assist with additional tasks as they arise and requested by the project PIs
- 10% Assist in monitoring project finances to ensure strategic resource allocation.
- 10% Coordinate the design, launch, and maintain the project website to enhance stakeholder communication, visibility, and facilitate community engagement.

Work Environment: In-person with hybrid option.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- Weekends are occasional and as needed
- Up to 16 hours per week

Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree plus at least four years of relevant experience, or advanced degree plus at least two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least eight years
- Experience in project organization
- Good communication skills
- Experience and excellence in working collaboratively and managing collaborators
- Working familiarity with worksheets, word editing, slide-making, websites authoring
- Willingness to learn and master new skills
Preferred qualifications:
- MS or STEM-related BS/BA is preferred
The School of Physics and Astronomy provides significant service to the University through the teaching of introductory physics courses. In a given academic year, approximately 4,000 students take a class from the School. There are approximately 170 physics and astrophysics majors that take upper division courses and 180 graduate students in the physics and astrophysics programs combined. There are 55 tenure/tenure-track faculty as well as a number of teaching faculty who are instrumental in the teaching mission of the School.
Approximately half of our graduate students also contribute to the teaching mission through teaching assistantships, which involves leading undergraduate labs. The person in this position will interface with staff, faculty, and TAs in support of the School's academic programs.

Pay Range: $29.33 - $31.74 per hour depending on education/qualifications/experience.
