About the RoleGentis Solutions is partnering with an emerging technology and automation company specializing in cutting‑edge hardware and electrical systems to hire an Electrical Engineer for their Saint Paul, MN team.
This role combines hands‑on electrical design, industrial automation, and project management, offering exposure to advanced control systems, PCB design, and FPGA development. The ideal candidate is technically sharp, collaborative, and eager to push innovation from concept through production.
What You’ll Do- Design and develop electrical systems and components per project specifications.
- Create and review schematics ensuring NEC and UL compliance.
- Use Altium and AutoCAD Electrical for detailed layouts and PCB design.
- Program automation systems (servo motion systems, PLCs) using Structured Text.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and software tools.
- Collaborate across disciplines to meet project schedules and deliverables.
- Design and implement FPGA systems for specialized industrial applications.
- Maintain documentation for designs, specifications, and testing procedures.
- Provide on‑site technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Hands‑on experience with high‑voltage, three‑phase industrial automation panels.
- Proficiency with Altium and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Programming experience in Python and C# for automation or test systems.
- Familiarity with System Verilog for FPGA and hardware design.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuit design, and analysis.
- Excellent documentation, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑driven and adaptable in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Experience in PCB schematic design and layout.
- Familiarity with servo motion systems, robotics, or FPGA development.
