Position Overview
ERA seeks a motivated Structural Modeler who is interested in growing a rewarding career to join our team. As a Structural Modeler, you will be responsible for performing structural drafting and design services, including modifying existing and creating new structural design documents. You will review architectural documents and internal engineering information using Revit, and develop conceptual, preliminary, and construction-level drawings, making revisions as needed.
Your role will include converting existing 2D structural drawings into 3D Revit models, following directed standards, and maintaining quality control and accountability for the integrity of the Revit model as the project progresses through each design phase. You will collaborate closely with the project team on diverse projects, often utilizing multiple technologies to meet client deadlines and expectations. Ensuring that all work completed adheres to company and client standards is a critical aspect of this position, contributing to the overall success of our projects.
This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Create and update 3D structural models in Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM platforms.
- Develop accurate construction documents based on engineers sketches, redlines, and markups.
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure model accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Participate in internal kickoff meetings and coordinate with external design teams.
- Ensure drawing sets are complete, accurate, and aligned with project milestones.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure consistency and clarity across all documents.
- Assist with shop drawings, submittal reviews, RFI responses, and field coordination as needed.
- Support the construction team by ensuring timely updates to models and drawings.
- Participate in post‑mortem reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure all work adheres to ERA's drawing standards, file management protocols, and client‑specific requirements.
- Organize and maintain project folders, backups, and drawing archives in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform internal QA reviews and support interdisciplinary coordination.

Hours:
9:00 am‑3:00 pm Monday‑Thursday - Friday Flex – 9:00 am‑12:00 pm
- Associate's degree in Architectural/Structural Drafting.
- Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills.
- 2+ years of Structural Revit Experience, AutoCAD knowledge is also preferred.
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Organized with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, while working with a team to deliver high quality of work.
- Proficient with structural engineering software, such as Revit, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
