Overview
TRC is seeking an Outage Management System (OMS) Applications Lead to join the TRC Digital team. This role focuses on OMS, including SOM, Field Mobility, and related integrations, to support outages management for utility operations.
Responsibilities- Lead the OMS workstream on ADMS implementation projects, collaborating with the ADMS Technical Lead, Project Manager, and other Workstream Leads to deliver OMS solutions.
- Manage a team of engineers who configure OMS modules such as SOM, Crew Management, ETRs, and Field Mobility.
- Lead OMS-related workshops with customers, vendors, and third parties.
- Contribute to requirements, project planning, and ensure all technical OMS dependencies are addressed.
- Collaborate with customers to understand operational needs and support planning, configuration, testing, implementation, and cutover phases for OMS systems.
- Provide design documentation for OMS, SOM, and Field Mobility solutions.
- Conduct system and acceptance testing with end customers to verify functionality and compliance.
- Assist with integrating third-party systems and troubleshoot complex issues with cross-domain experts.
- Travel to customer sites to deliver, test, and integrate systems directly with customers; ensure delivered solutions meet contractual requirements.
- 10–15 years of experience directly working with OMS systems and related modules.
- Experience with products from at least one major ADMS/OMS vendor (e.g., GE, Aspen Tech/OSI, ABB, Schneider Electric, Oracle NMS).
- Proven experience supporting critical operational or IT systems.
- Knowledge of end-to-end OMS processes (outage management, dispatching, switching, field mobility, and integrations).
- Understanding of ADMS and how it integrates with OMS modules.
- Familiarity with Distribution Control Center operations and experience working with Operators and Dispatchers.
- Strong work ethic and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Solid OT systems background with the ability to troubleshoot across complex systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel, averaging 25%.

Salary range: USD 87,984.00 – USD per year. Compensation varies by experience, education, skill level, location, and other factors. Eligible for the annual discretionary bonus program based on company, business segment, and individual performance.
