Who are we:
Forward Edge ASIC is a commercially-focused subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, combining the stability of a Fortune 100 company with the innovation of a startup. Our agile team of IC design engineers delivers technology solutions for the 21st century, with our best-in-class ASIC technology providing innovative microelectronic solutions for commercial, defense, and security customers.
What you'll be doing:- As an ASIC Analog SERDES Designer, you'll take on exciting design challenges with high‑speed analog/mixed‑signal circuits within ASIC designs. Collaborating closely with customers and cross‑functional SERDES design engineers, you'll create designs that meet strict power, area, and performance requirements. With your skills in system‑level and block‑level IC design activities, including architecture definition, circuit design, schematic capture, and circuit and sub‑system simulation, you'll work with cutting‑edge advanced CMOS technologies, such as FinFET technology and standard, commercial IC design CAD tools to bring your designs to life.
- In this role, you'll apply your expertise in high‑speed design techniques and low power to circuit design, document analog design blocks and collaborate with Characterization and Product engineers to define and conduct tests, analyze measurement data, and assist in the validation of circuit design through lab skills. Mentoring junior engineers, you'll share your knowledge and experience.
- Work‑life balance:
Flexible 9/80 work schedules with every other Friday off, hybrid work with primary location being in St. Paul, MN. - Competitive benefit package:
Including options for healthcare and medical coverage, 401(k) Retirement Benefits with company contribution, as well as a generous holidays and PTO allotment. Selected candidate may also be eligible for short‑term and long‑term incentives.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering plus 6 years of relevant experience or Ph.D. in related field.
- Familiarity with SERDES system‑level operation and modelling.
- Demonstrable experience in high‑speed equalization techniques.
- Practical knowledge of high‑speed board and package requirements to support SERDES.
- Experience with planning of high‑speed layouts using FinFET technologies.
- This position requires a US government security clearance, and as such, US citizenship is required.
- The work environment for this role typically involves office‑based activities with collaboration with analog design, CAD, and physical verification teams. Occasional travel may be required for project meetings or customer engagements.
Don't miss this opportunity to join a team that provides innovative microelectronic solutions for the 21st century and offers a flexible work schedule and competitive benefits package. Apply today!
