Ayres is expanding its MEP Division and looking for a full‑time Electrical Discipline Leader to join our growing team. Based in the vibrant Minneapolis/St. Paul market, this role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects, mentor talented engineers, and shape the future of building systems design.
OnAny Given Day, You’ll
- Lead and inspire a team of electrical engineers, aligning talent with project needs.
- Ensure technical excellence through quality assurance and control of design documentation.
- Apply deep knowledge of electrical engineering to complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Oversee electrical design from concept through construction and post‑occupancy.
- Research and specify electrical systems, components, and materials.
- Own team performance metrics including financials, utilization, and delivery.
- Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with regional and practice leaders to achieve strategic goals.
- Lead client accounts and drive business development efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (electrical emphasis) or a degree with experience in electrical design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design and project leadership.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM tools.
- Business development experience is a plus.

Our good‑faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed. A salary range for this posting is $130,000 - $180,000. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good‑faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity.
The individual selected for this role will be evaluated with the compensation factors in mind and placed appropriately.
