Environmental Engineer - Water Services (2026 New Grads!)
CDM Smith is looking for an entry‑level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group.
This position presents an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to apply their engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects and to grow within a dynamic team. In this role, you will support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments, adjust design parameters, and perform water quality analyses and modeling.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and collaborate on presentations for client meetings and industry conferences.
- Create documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software.
- Assist in fieldwork supporting construction management activities, providing a comprehensive project lifecycle experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 0 years of experience required (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required (10%).
- Basic knowledge of CADD 3D/4D software, engineering design principles, and Microsoft Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Pay range: $53,498 – $88,275
