About Metropolitan Council: The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, providing essential services such as transportation, wastewater collection and treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.
About the Environmental Services Division: The ES division operates and maintains nine water resource recovery facilities in the Twin Cities metro area.
We have three (3) vacancies for either Senior Engineer or Principal Engineer (DOQ) responsible for managing the detailed phases of engineering work for part of a major capital project, a total capital project of moderate scope, or a program of multiple capital projects at one or more of our nine ES facilities that treat municipal wastewater collected within the metro area.
QualificationsSenior Engineer – Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $100,526 - $115,000 annually
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or directly related discipline
- Four years of related experience as an engineer
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) or Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Minnesota or a state with reciprocity.
Principal Engineer – Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $111,384 - $140,000 annually
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or directly related discipline
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Minnesota or a state with reciprocity
- Five years of related experience as an engineer.
