The Payroll Tax Specialist will manage post-payroll processes with a focus on payroll tax compliance and resolution. This role requires expertise in multi-state payroll tax filing, handling tax notices, and working with third-party providers and state agencies. The position involves high-volume work in a fast-paced environment and requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage internal and external inquiries effectively.

• Process and manage payroll tax filings for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Review and resolve tax notices; coordinate with tax providers and state agencies.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for power of attorney and third-party authorizations.
• Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve payroll tax issues.
• Perform testing and support project-related activities related to payroll tax compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Respond to internal tickets and participate in team meetings to address tax-related concerns.

• Solid foundation in payroll taxes, including federal, state, and FICA taxes.
• Experience with payroll tax filing and compliance processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for clear and effective interaction with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage high-volume work with consistency and accuracy.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 2–3 years of payroll tax experience, including multi-state tax processing.
