Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Shoreview, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing accounting operations and supporting informed decision-making. You will collaborate closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient processes while contributing to the improvement of accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

- Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.

- Perform bank reconciliations and address any variances promptly.

- Assist in the preparation of client remittance reports and other financial statements.

- Develop and implement improvements to accounting processes and workflows.

- Collaborate with the Controller to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

- Support financial decision-making by providing detailed and accurate data analysis.

- Participate in the development of enhanced financial reporting tools and capabilities. Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

+ Bachelor's degree required.

+ CPA or CMA credentials preferred, or equivalent experience with a CPA firm

Experience:

+ 3-4 years of accounting experience with proven success in similar roles

Skills:

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quick Books

+

Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and analysis tools

+ Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Excellent interpersonal communication skills
