We are seeking a full‑time Research Consultant for the DFL Caucus in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

• Work with House committees, individual DFL legislators, and legislative staff to summarize legislation, draft amendments, track bills, staff committee hearings, and prepare policy memos.
• Maintain communication with DFL legislators, relevant staff, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with committee assignments (potentially House committees for Elections & Government Operations and State Government Finance).

• Familiarity with the workings of the Legislature and the demands of the legislative session.
• Strong interest in working on policy issues for the House DFL Caucus.
• Demonstrated ability to provide research and analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Master’s or law degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours (including evenings and weekends) during the legislative session.

• Research Consultant I – III range: $67,993.44 – $ per year.
• Entry‑level Research Consultant I salary range: $67,993.44 – $74,792.88, depending on experience.
