PositionPosition Overview
Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHTs play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients’ experience.
Schedule- Full-time 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) Day/Evening

6a-2:30p, 8a-4:30p - Evening
Shifts:
2p-10:30p, 4p-12:30a - Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
- Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both day and evening shifts
- BHT I:
Starting hourly range between $18.00-$21.00
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
Responsibilities / How BHTs Empower Recovery- Partner with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming
- Participate in therapeutic meals and snacks and provide support during structured outings and recreation
- Engage, challenge, and support residents as needed; report observations and document in charts
- Monitor and support bathroom use per client treatment direction; monitor and document exercise
- Enforce appropriate policies with residents and complete all expected tasks including hourly room-checks
- High school diploma or GED required with one year of mental health experience or
- Bachelor’s degree in mental health field with 0-1 year of experience
- Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive
