Position Overview

Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHTs play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients’ experience.

• Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
• Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both day and evening shifts

• BHT I:
  Starting hourly range between $18.00-$21.00

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

• Partner with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming
• Participate in therapeutic meals and snacks and provide support during structured outings and recreation
• Engage, challenge, and support residents as needed; report observations and document in charts
• Monitor and support bathroom use per client treatment direction; monitor and document exercise
• Enforce appropriate policies with residents and complete all expected tasks including hourly room-checks

• High school diploma or GED required with one year of mental health experience or
• Bachelor’s degree in mental health field with 0-1 year of experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive
