Business Analyst Power BI Focus

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst (Power BI Focus) for a 6-month contract role. 100% Remote.

Compensation: $65.00 $ 75.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience level.

Leads requirement documentation efforts to translate complex business needs into actionable solutions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging Power BI for data-driven decision-making. This role oversees multiple medium to large features independently, applying critical and system thinking to drive business process analysis, strategic planning, and advanced analytics. Key resource for Power BI adoption and best practices across the organization.

• Develops business analysis artifacts (user stories, use cases, business models, needs and features, etc.) to document "as-is and "to-be requirements.
• Designs, develops, and maintains Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends Contractor Requisition Form
• Elicits, analyzes, and validates complex business needs of stakeholders, customers, and end users.
• Translates functional specifications into technology solutions, with a focus on Power BI.
• Validates that solutions (people, process, technology, and analytics) meet business capability, product, or system objectives.
• Identifies and communicates risks and issues to Product Owner and Scrum Master that may require changes to scope.
• Business Analytics Practice (Methodologies, Frameworks, & Power BI Governance)
• Stakeholder Management & Power BI Enablement

• Business Analyst experience
• Power BI for data visualization, modeling, reporting
• Power Query, DAX
• Creating interactive dashboards
• Best practices for Power BI governance, security, and sharing within an enterprise environment.
• Experience building traceability matrices and supporting medium to large projects.
• Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document needs, features, and detailed requirements.
• Proven ability to drive and coordinate diverse teams, both internally and externally.

• Ability to integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI and ensure data quality
• Ability to train and support stakeholders in using Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Expertise in business analytics methodologies and best practices.
• Work effectively across leadership, functional teams, and customer organizations

• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• Proficiency designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
