SPA is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college-preparatory day school serving over 900 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Located in St. Paul, Minnesota, SPA also draws students from Minneapolis and throughout the surrounding communities.

Our Goodrich Campus serves students in grades K-5, and our Randolph Campus serves students in grades 6-12. Our Prekindergarten is located on the campus of St. Catherine’s University and serves children beginning at age 4.

Description:

Working with the Technology Department, the Network & Systems Specialist plays a critical role by supporting the daily operation, administration, maintenance, and security of St. Paul Academy and Summit School’s technology infrastructure. The position helps manage the school's network, servers, wireless infrastructure, identity services, Mobile Device Management (MDM), assists with technology projects, supports cybersecurity initiatives, and serves as a point of escalation for technical issues.

The Network and Systems Specialist is an on-site position that reports to the Director of Technology. Working hours are flexible and may require occasional evening and weekend work.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical judgment, creative problem-solving, effective communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to building sustainable technology services through documentation, planning, and knowledge sharing.

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the school's wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Configure, maintain, and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network services.
• Assist with the administration of cloud platforms, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and related identity services.
• Manage enterprise server infrastructure, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based services.
• Monitor system performance, availability, backups, and infrastructure health to ensure reliable operations.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning, backup validation, and business continuity initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.

• Support the administration of the school's Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, including enrollment, deployment, compliance monitoring, application management, and device lifecycle.
• Manage the configuration and deployment of macOS, iPadOS, ChromeOS, Windows, and other endpoint devices.
• Manage operating system updates, software deployments, endpoint security, and device compliance.
• Assist in implementing cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and identity security.
• Monitor security alerts and assist in responding to technology incidents as needed.

• Serve as a technical escalation resource for the Technology Department.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, authentication, infrastructure, and systems-related issues.
• Promote organizational resiliency by ensuring critical systems and processes are appropriately documented and understood by designated backup personnel
