Position SummaryThis role leads the Stakeholder Management Solutions (SMS) practice within the Upper Midwest Office (UMW), based in Minneapolis, MN. The position is responsible for defining and executing the practices strategy, driving business growth, overseeing project delivery, and providing overall leadership to ensure continued success. Reporting to the Regional Environmental Global Practice Manager, this leader will expand the SMS team, strengthen client relationships, and grow the practice regionally and nationally in alignment with core values of integrity, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities LeadershipProvide direction, mentorship, and professional development for staff.
Foster a positive, high-performing culture and encourage leadership growth within the team.
Lead recruitment, training, and retention efforts.
Uphold organizational values, policies, and safety standards.
Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the SMS Department.
Manage staffing, workload, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
Promote innovation, technical excellence, safety, and quality.
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Build and maintain strong client relationships across market sectors.
Lead pursuit strategies, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
Mentor emerging Client Account Managers and support client service planning.
Drive growth through proactive identification of project and program opportunities.
Oversee department budgets, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with business development and project management teams to secure and deliver work.
Achievement of sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
Growth in department size, client base, and market presence.
Staff engagement, retention, and professional development.
Project delivery aligned with client and internal expectations for quality, schedule, and budget.
Bachelors degree in environmental studies, geology, engineering, or a related field.
- Overall 12-15 Years and7 years of relevant professional experience; leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and strategic management skills.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
