Overview
The Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) is seeking Site Attendants for the following Senior Housing apartment buildings:
Lakeside Pointe, Eagan MN;
Winsor Plaza, Lakeville MN. These positions are 5 hours per week with a starting pay of $15.99 per hour. Applicants will choose desired building(s) in supplemental questions on application.
Recruitment Type: Positions are open until filled.
This is an on-site position. Applicants must either be a current resident at the building or be willing to live on-site to be eligible for this position. Applicants who are eligible for the CDA s Senior Housing Program will be screened for program eligibility and rent will be based on program rents. Applicants who are not eligible for the CDA s Senior Housing Program will pay a flat rent of $935 for a one-bedroom unit or $1,183 for a two-bedroom unit and are also subject to tenant screening requirements.
These CDA owned apartment buildings have regular contracted cleaners and lawn service. The Site Attendant provides timely light snow removal, general upkeep and grounds keeping. Other responsibilities include cleaning all common areas in between contract cleanings, and as needed. Site Attendants provide maintenance and administration duties at the building as assigned by the Property Manager.
Application Process- Perform snow removal and salt/sanding.
- Keep site exterior safe and sanitary by removing ice/snow (i.e. shoveling, salting/sanding, snow blowing, etc.) from common areas (i.e. sidewalks, ramps, etc.) that are less than one (1) inch per snow occurrence.
- Ensure all entrances are cleared of snow at all times to allow for exit. Clear sidewalks and entryways of drifted snow (snow blowers provided) as needed, including amounts that may have higher accumulations than one (1) inch.
- Salt and sand all entrances and walkways and cement garage entrances as needed using magnesium chloride only or sand.
- Salt/Sand mix asphalt garage entrances as needed.
- Notify Property Manager when parking lot is in need of salt/sand treatment.
- Notify Property Manager when salt/sand supply is running low.
- Communication Requirements
- Communicate clearly with a positive, respectful manner.

- Responds to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Complete timesheets on pay period end dates and turn in to Property Manager.
- Act as a positive representative of the CDA.
- Promote a positive image of the CDA to residents.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with CDA employees, vendors, and contractors working with the CDA.
- Handle situations with residents/vendors in a professional manner.
- Must abide by Resident Handbook.
- Must abide by all Board approved policies, policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment, executive communications, administrative procedures, and safety procedures established by the CDA.
- Perform assigned administrative functions.
- Report resident problems or issues to the Property Manager.
- Notify Property Manager of important issues, emergencies, or life-threatening situations.
- Contact Property Manager for residents needing referrals to available social services.
- Coordinate Community Room use reservations for CDA activities/meetings.
- Distribute memos from CDA staff and/or contractors as directed by Property Manager.
- Attend required OSHA or other trainings as assigned.
- Serve as secondary agency representative to residents.
- Maintain good resident relations; act as a positive CDA representative to residents and external clientele.
- Support Dakota County CDA management and abide by CDA policies, rules and regulations.
- Ability to handle resident matters respectfully and remain neutral in difficult situations.
- Report any resident rule/policy violations to Property Manager to address.
- Refer residents to the Assistant Property Manager to report work order requests.
- Refer residents to the Property Manager to report resident disputes or building needs.
- If available, respond on-call for urgent issues as instructed by management that threaten the health or safety of residents or the property.
- Perform cleaning of building as needed on days when contract cleaners are not scheduled.
- Maintain, wash, wax, sweep, vacuum, and polish as necessary all equipment, appliances, floor, ceiling, and window areas in all public and common areas including community room, community room kitchen, public restrooms, management office, mechanical equipment rooms, and janitorial closets/carts.
