Vice President Corporate Controller

The Vice President, Corporate Controller is a senior finance executive and strategic business partner to the Chief Financial Officer responsible for leading all accounting, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, technical accounting, and financial governance functions across the enterprise.

As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, this role provides executive leadership and oversight of corporate accounting operations while ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and scalable processes that support Smart Care's continued growth and value creation objectives.

The VP, Corporate Controller serves as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team, driving enterprise-wide financial discipline and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate, timely, and actionable financial information.

This leader partners closely with operating executives, private equity sponsors, auditors, lenders, and external advisors to support growth initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, system transformations, and long-term business planning.

This role requires a highly strategic and hands‑on leader capable of balancing technical accounting expertise with executive-level business acumen while building a best‑in‑class accounting organization that supports a dynamic, high‑growth environment.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting and finance organization across multiple business segments. Establish organizational structure, succession planning strategies, and leadership development programs for the accounting function. Drive a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. Serve as a key member of the Finance Leadership Team and contribute to enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives. Develop annual departmental goals and ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives.

Champion diversity, talent development, and employee retention initiatives within the finance organization.

Provide executive oversight of all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Establish accounting strategies that support business growth, operational efficiency, and scalability. Maintain accountability for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Lead the preparation and presentation of financial results to executive leadership, lenders, board members, and private equity stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key financial metrics, trends, and business performance indicators.

Partner with the CFO, CEO, segment presidents, and executive leadership team to support enterprise strategy and business performance. Act as a financial advisor to operational leaders, providing meaningful business insights and recommendations. Support evaluation of new business opportunities, investments, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. Drive alignment between accounting, finance, operations, sales, HR, IT, and other functional areas. Participate in strategic planning, business reviews, and organizational transformation efforts.

Support financial due diligence efforts for acquisitions and strategic transactions. Lead accounting integration activities for acquired companies. Ensure appropriate purchase accounting, opening balance sheet preparation, and integration of acquired entities. Develop scalable accounting frameworks to support future acquisition activity. Partner with private equity stakeholders and executive leadership on value creation initiatives.
